The “Castle Stones” developed by Maurits Simonette are handmade replicas of original ones from historic Flemish and French country houses, castles and churches. The tiles, pressed from innovative materials and crushed marble, are colored throughout and have an authentic structure that matches the rustic charm of the past. The basis of the Castle Stones is the same as that of the raw material stone, but is produced manually in a contemporary new way. The stones are cast, pressed and then given their historic appearance through special post-processing. Castle Stones are suitable for damp areas (spa areas, bathrooms, etc.). They are insensitive for light, wear-resistant, have a high load capacity and are very suitable for underfloor heating. Moreover, they are very easy to clean and maintain. Because the stones with are made and colored by hand, every floor is unique. Laid in 2006 Maurits’ first floor in a wellness area was very successful. He still knows these people and is still very fond of them satisfied with their floor.
